Description

The monograph "Design-Based Research of an ESP Coursebook" frames the concept of design-based research, which is a challenge for ESP teachers who deal with the solution of complex tasks related to curriculum design in dynamic contexts of educational practice. The design of ESP learning materials is becoming a matter of course in the academic environment, but it is less common for teachers to evaluate the quality of the materials through research. The author describes the methodology and discusses the results of the design-based research of an ESP coursebook,, whose two-fold yield lies in the gradual development of the coursebook and in the production of design principles that not only validate theories of English language coursebooks design but also develop theories related to ESP coursebooks.
